Sameera (also known as Frances Harrison) is a professional belly dancer. She has studied dance since the age of seven and has a background in ballet, jazz and yoga. She has also been a dance instructor for the Canterbury Children’s Theatre. In recent years she discovered the intoxicating rhythms of Middle Eastern dance, in particular belly dancing. |

Her dance style is dynamic yet elegant and she has a special ability to connect with her audiences, enhancing the enjoyment of those watching her performances. Sameera is known for her unique and fabulous Cabaret costumes designed by herself.
Sameera continues to pursue her interest in
Classical Egyptian and Turkish styles by studying
with talented teachers and attending workshops.
In 2004 she performed in the Egyptian
Odyssey concert which featured internationally
acclaimed Hossam and Serena Ramzy. In 2006
she performed in Amera’s NZ concert. |
